Universalist Convocations |
|
|
Originby Nelson C. Simonson In the Fall of 1989 the Trustees of the Pennsylvania Universalist Convention decided to contact the other remaining state Universalist Conventions (there being six of them), suggesting that the Conventions "network." A letter was sent out. The North Carolina Universalist Convention put this thought into action,
and they did it one better. They invited all the Conventions down to the
Shelter Neck Conference Center (near Burgaw, NC) on 19-20 October 1990.
It was a wonderful meeting—the concept of Universalist Convocations
was formed; it has evolved from there.
